What it was
Everyday shoppers pay excessive prices for consumer goods. PriceIt let people photograph a receipt or shelf tag; Gemini Vision read the price server-side, and a trust-weighted consensus engine produced a verified price per product, store and area.
What I learned
The first version scraped e-commerce sites. I dropped that on 27 August 2026: scraping risked terms-of-service problems, and a stack of pieced-together tools was no moat. Crowdsourcing also reaches informal markets that have no website to scrape. The product is paused.
